Overview
The Road Factory is a machine used to create road blocks from Tar and an input block. The machine can be powered by coal, or has an electric variant which can be powered by Forge Energy. The machine can accept item input through the top, fluid input from the left, and item output from the bottom or right side. If Performance Mode in the config is false, the platforms on the right side will display any created blocks, the fluid tanks will animate for filling, and the grills will glow when active. The Wrench will rotate the machine in mode 1, and in mode 2 will toggle a base plate to hide any pipes or cables you might have running underneath.
Usage
The Road Factory is a pretty standard crafting machine. Provide input items, fluid and some form of power, and the machine will create output. The one caveat here is in efficiency; the machine has four inputs and four outputs, and can utilise all four at the same time. This means if you input a stack into slot 1, each machine cycle this will process just that one stack – but if you split the stack into four stacks of 16 across the four input slots, the machine will process all four, and be four times faster as a result.
All recipes require tar as a binding agent/fluid input. This can be created in a Tar Distiller placed directly to the left, or piped in from any fluid source on the left. Creating coloured tarmac also requires a relevant dye in the modifier slot.
